Today was Pajama Day at co-op.  I *heart* Pajama Day!  Here's a picture of the kids who chose to indulge in their pajamas for the day.

Front row: Nina, Skyler, Max, Aly, Hannah

Calleigh, Skyeler, Aly, and me had our second annual Oscar night party tonight.  Dan made pad thai.  I made cookie bars.  We watched the awards.  We ate too much cookie dough, got a bellyache, and slept poorly!!  :0)  A memorable night!

Aly wanted me to take a picture of her toe socks today. Fun!

We watched this movie tonight.  WOW!  It was unstoppable suspense and action.  When the movie was over I was all tensed up LOL!  It took me a little while to unwind.  It was a great action movie, though!

We saw Sense & Sensibility at our local Shakespeare theater today.  Last year the theater ventured into the Jane Austen realm with Pride & Prejudice (which was lovely).  We were excited to see their adaptation of Sense & Sensibility today.  It was most pleasing :)   Skyeler, Aly, and I have really taken a liking to the theater and look forward to going every time.

My big mess!  I'm trying to straighten up my craft room.  It seems whenever you try to straighten something up, somehow you end up with an even bigger mess.  So most of the craft room stuff is in the middle of my basement floor.  It's a bit overwhelming!

February 19th

This is how I found Skye and Aly this afternoon.  I had some sort of stomach bug (or something, who knows) and was ill most of the day.  The girls decided to craft while I was sleeping.  They were making postcards with my scrapbooking supplies.  To my delight, they actually cleaned up, too!

We had the teen Bible study at our house today.  The girls were a bit wore out from a kids sleepover at the church last night (Tori, Lizzy, and Skye helped, Aly attended).  I think they were a bit slap happy.  They were hanging out till Dan finished his run and Calleigh got there.

My good friend Robin bought me this decal set for Christmas.  I have forks and spoons on this blue wall in my kitchen.  This decal fit perfectly with my theme!  I hadn't put it up yet because I was afraid of screwing it up somehow, but it was easier than I imagined.  It looks great on the wall.

Aly found this Madagascar Mac & Cheese at Wal-mart.
It is one of our favorite movies.
We had Mac & Cheese for lunch :)

My family LOVES these pancakes.  I really DISLIKE making pancakes.  This was supposed to be our Valentine's dinner but we ate something quicker before going out to Best Buy and Half-Price Books.  So I made the pancakes for dinner tonight.  They are time consuming but I have to admit that they are quite delicious.

Dan surprised me and the girls by having gourmet chocolate covered strawberries delivered for Valentine's Day.  They were delish!  We *heart* him!

Our Art class today at co-op had "free art day."  That just means that I pull out all the art supplies and they can draw, paint, make a mess to their heart's content...anything they want.  While many of the girls worked on a Valentine's project, Aly drew the Doctor's TARDIS (from her favorite tv show Doctor Who)!  It was bright and colorful and pretty darn awesome!

I didn't take this picture, Skyeler did.  But I would have taken this picture if I wasn't in charge of leading the singing for the kids.  The kids are part of our Patch the Pirate group and they were singing "It's a Great, Big, Beautiful World."  They did a fantastic job!

*Disclaimer:  this project is only part-way finished.
This is the countertop in our master bath.
We painted it and put epoxy on it and Dan installed a new sink and faucet.  Though I've yet to paint the walls and Dan has yet to install the trim around the mirror, this is a vast improvement from the sink that was growing things and the 70's countertop.

Aly's stomach was feeling a little bit yucky yesterday and earlier today.  She had her favorite little pallet set up on the floor, all cozy and comfy.  Here she is finally starting to feel better and playing some Wii.

"The only one I'm really scared of is that VUG under the RUG."  Dr. Seuss

That is what I think of every time Sparkles "helps" me put fresh sheets on the bed.  He likes to get underneath them while I'm straightening them out and chase me while I'm tucking them in.  All under the covers.  It is one of the few times he gets really playful.

I'm cheating.
I did not take a picture today.
However, this picture explains why (again).
My book got to a part where I couldn't put it down.
And I didn't.  :)
So much so that I forgot to take a picture.
I did finish it :)

A perk of Dan's job is a preview of upcoming new releases.
Skyeler and I thought that this new release called for a Twilight marathon.
(Yes, I am admitting that on my blog.  The series that I told Dan there was no way we were watching or reading and *blush* I enjoy it.  Don't ask me why, I really have no idea.)  Skyeler did her school.  I did school with Aly.  Then Skye and I spent the next eight hours with Bella, Edward, Jacob, Alice, and Charlie.  I did not take a picture of my Team Edward t-shirt.  It was fun.

I love to read.
I love to read great books.
I love a book that makes me forget that I'm sitting on my own couch.
I love a book that makes me forget to cook dinner.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is that kind of book!
This is what I did between lunch and church.  Read.
